“The most useful thing for me is networking with ASEAN member state representatives and with the secretariat team. It is useful that I learned about the blueprints. Some of our work in the community has important links to the ASEAN strategy towards natural resources management and water management,” said Saw John Bright, Coodinator of the Water Governance Programme at KESAN, one of the 2nd S Rajaratnam Endowment (SRE) ASEAN Community Forum participants from Myanmar.
After a thorough process of selection involving selection panel members from the Philippine Mission to ASEAN and the ASEAN Secretariat as well as the ASEAN Foundation, 70 undergraduate students and 10 university academic members have successfully been selected to participate in the six-day programme of the Third ASEAN Foundation Model ASEAN Meeting 2017 or the 3rd AFMAM 2017, in short, at the De La Salle University, Manila, on 25 – 30 September 2017. A total of 88 participants are targeted including the involvement of the AFMAM alumni from the Philippines.
